Story; The old stout holstien cow known affectionately by the family as Grandma cow was pronounced not with calf when the vet checked her several months earlier. Because of her age father would let her in the calving pen when not in use, as it was hard for her to get up and down in her stall. It is softly snowing and the chores are done and supper is over. Big brother has brought his younger brother and sister to the barn to check on a new born litter of kittens. What a surprise! Grandma cow is up standing and cleaning off her little sweet December Surprise.
